Check the current baseline
HoYoverse raised the PC requirements with the Song of the Welkin Moon version. The published minimum includes Windows 10 64 bit, a sixth generation Intel Core i5 or equivalent AMD Ryzen processor, 8 GB of RAM and either a GeForce GTX 1050 class discrete GPU or Intel Iris Xe class integrated graphics. DirectX 11 is required.
The recommended target includes Windows 10 or 11, a seventh generation Intel Core i7 or Ryzen 5000 series processor, 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or better. A system below the minimum may still launch, but HoYoverse warns that it can suffer frame drops, instability or crashes.
Set resolution carefully
Start at the monitor's native resolution with the low preset. If the frame rate remains unstable, reduce render resolution before lowering the desktop resolution. This keeps menus and text sharper while reducing the workload of the 3D scene.
At 1080p, try a render resolution around 0.8 or 0.9 as a first compromise. Avoid jumping straight to the lowest value. Fine details, distant enemies and elemental effects become harder to read when the internal image is reduced too far.

Lower the expensive settings first
Use a lighter graphics preset, then tune the options that affect the world most. Shadows, visual effects, environment detail, reflections and volumetric fog deserve attention before motion blur or small cosmetic choices.
A sensible low-end starting point is:
- Frame rate set to 30 for very weak hardware, or 60 only when it stays stable.
- Render resolution at 0.8 to 1.0.
- Shadows and visual effects on low.
- Environment detail on low or medium.
- Reflections and volumetric fog off when available.
- Crowd density reduced in busy cities.
- Motion blur off for a cleaner image during camera movement.
Keep textures at low or medium based on available graphics memory. If movement is smooth but new objects load late or the game pauses sharply, texture memory or storage may be the real limit.
Keep the world easy to read

Test one exploration route
Choose a route that begins in a town, passes through an open area and ends with an effect heavy fight. Run it for several minutes, rotate the camera quickly and watch the lowest moments rather than the average frame rate.
Heat can also make a laptop slower after ten minutes. Test long enough for the cooling system to settle. Keep the charger connected, select a performance focused Windows power mode and make sure the vents are clear.
Fix the common PC problems
If the game uses integrated graphics on a laptop with a stronger dedicated GPU, assign the high performance processor in Windows Graphics settings or the GPU control panel. HoYoverse also recommends closing conflicting background software and restarting the PC when repeated crashes appear.
For a launcher window that looks cropped or incorrectly scaled, the official FAQ suggests changing the high DPI scaling behavior for the game shortcut. Do this only for a display problem. It will not improve the in-game frame rate.
