Zenless Zone Zero version 3.2 is now live. The update expands Roscaelifer with a new main story chapter, new areas, two agents and several limited events. PC players should update through HoYoPlay, claim the available maintenance mail and decide which time-limited activities they want to finish first.
The new story moves deeper into Roscaelifer
Season 3 Chapter 3, Their Secret Histories, continues the story after The Long Goodbye. Players who have completed Season 3 Chapter 2 can enter it directly. The early viewing feature also gives eligible players a way to reach current Season 3 content before finishing every older chapter.
The update opens Vyrium in Roscaelifer and adds two restricted locations tied to the new chapter: the Porceloy Research Institute and Hidden Reef Transfer Station. These spaces give the story a fresh setting while keeping the industrial identity introduced earlier in the season.
Claret and Roxy join the version roster
Version 3.2 adds Claret, an Electric Armorer, and Roxy, a Wind Rupture agent. Claret is built around the new Armorer specialty, while Roxy gives the version another way to shape a team around fast pressure and character switching.
The first limited channel phase features Claret and Nangong Yu. Their trial stages let you test how they play before using Signal Searches. This phase runs until September 30 at 11:59 server time, so use the trials before making a pull decision.

These events and rewards deserve attention first
Eligible players receive 300 Polychrome for maintenance and another 300 for issue fixes. The maintenance compensation is available to accounts that reached Inter-Knot level 4 before the update downtime. Check the in-game mail before the message expires.
The update also adds several limited activities:
- Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight runs from September 10 to October 19.
- Virtual Shadow Hunt begins on September 16 and ends on October 5.
- Surprise Projection begins on September 23 and ends on October 20.
- Angel Support Operation includes a selectable limited outfit and other rewards.
Start with the events that have the earliest closing dates. Permanent story content can wait if your play time is limited.
How to update Zenless Zone Zero on PC
Close the game completely, restart the HoYoPlay launcher and select Update. If you are starting for the first time, download Zenless Zone Zero for Windows and allow enough space for the client plus the update files.
After the update finishes:
- Claim the maintenance mail.
- Open the event menu and check each deadline.
- Try Claret and Nangong Yu in their trial stages.
- Continue the main story when you have enough time for a full chapter session.
Is version 3.2 worth returning for?
Yes, especially if you follow the Season 3 story or want to test the new agents. The strongest reason to return to the game is the combination of a permanent chapter and several short events, rather than one isolated feature.
