Quick answer: Rockstar has confirmed the console release date, but a PC version is still unannounced. Here is what PC players can verify today.
The short answer is simple: Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is officially scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Any PC release date, system requirement list or preorder page claiming otherwise is unofficial unless Rockstar confirms it.
What Rockstar has officially confirmed
Rockstar currently lists two launch platforms for GTA 6: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official game page and preorder announcement both use the same November 19, 2026 release date.
The official extended look was captured from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. It gives players a useful view of the world, characters and visual direction, but it does not confirm PC performance, graphics settings or hardware requirements.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
A PC edition has not been confirmed as of September 9, 2026. Rockstar has not published a PC release window, minimum specifications, recommended specifications or a PC storefront.
That distinction matters. A later PC version may sound plausible to longtime GTA players, but past release patterns are not an announcement. Treat every specific PC date as speculation until it appears on Rockstar's official GTA 6 page, Newswire or support site.
Current official preorders cover PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC players should avoid paying for keys, reservations or accounts that promise access to an unannounced version.
Ignore unverified PC requirements
Search results and social posts already contain supposed GTA 6 PC specifications. None are official. Without a confirmed PC build, those lists cannot tell you which processor, graphics card, memory target or storage speed Rockstar will require.
Trailer footage is not a reliable benchmark. Video compression, console settings and development changes make it impossible to translate a trailer into a PC parts list. If you are planning an upgrade, wait for verified requirements and independent PC benchmarks.
What PC players should do next
- Follow the official GTA 6 page and Rockstar Newswire for platform updates.
- Do not preorder a PC key unless Rockstar announces a PC edition and an approved store lists it.
- Ignore leaked requirement tables without a direct Rockstar source.
- Keep enough storage flexibility, but wait for the official download size before clearing drives.
- Judge a future upgrade from verified requirements and independent PC benchmarks.
For now, the useful answer is that GTA 6 has a confirmed console launch on November 19, 2026, while its PC status remains unannounced. We will update this page when Rockstar publishes information that PC players can act on.
